Chennai, Rida and Nikita

After resolving my Pre Leave blues, I left for home. Naturally it was full of hiccups. But I got good luck almost everywhere. From Bangalore, the bus to Chennai was almost 2 hours late. What happened as a result? A good sleep. From 12 to 6, I had uninterrupted sleep, which was great. When I dropped in Chennai, traffic was low enough to avoid jams yet good enough to let me get an auto rickshaw in time. I would not have got it so quickly had I reached an hour earlier. From there I met a pretty talkative (read smart) salesman cum auto driver. He was instrumental in persuading me from going to the Koyambedu bus stand all the way to the Chennai Airport. Of course he charged almost a hundred bucks extra. But I was tired and I agreed. Problem was that I had reached around 5 hours before the check in time! So then began my wait. Cafe Coffee Day helped little. Even the Expresso seemed insufficient! Staying awake was important and difficult. But here also I was lucky. There was a swe

Thank God It's Friday

Friday is the one of the best days of the week. Every Friday I feel so good. Take today for example. I woke up at 9 after having a 51/2 hour sleep. Bought some bread from the shop and boiled a couple of eggs. I slapped some chocolate cream and cheese on the bread and had it for breakfast. Then I left for office. What I have in mind to do this evening and night is also quite cool. I would love to get myself a wine. Along with a couple of glasses. One extra - just in case. I will just play the Beethoven's Fur Elise and sip wine. I may also try reading a book or two. Already going through a new book - The Six Sacred Stones. As for dinner, I will try to stick to the same stuff I usually have every Friday - either pizza with garlic bread from Dominos or egg biryani from Kabab Masti . In the weekend I have some plans to meet up with friends and have some fun. Cheesy pizzas - That is one my favorite dishes. I just love it.

Lusting After Inferno by Dan Brown

I am a big fan of historical fiction and that I love Dan Brown's books should come as no surprise. I read all the previous books of Dan Brown before starting from Angels and Demons to the Lost Symbol and loved them all. The idea of conspiracy theories coupled with historical accuracy keep me hooked to them. Cover picture - Always looked intriguing Inferno launched in India this year and I had been waiting for it. Unfortunately I am deep in whatever. So could not get the time even to think about going ahead and buying it. Now the things seems to be improving on the personal and official front so perhaps I will just book the order for the book and have it ordered to me in the office itself. Saves me all the hassle of going to the bookstore and all - you know normal 'buy online' tendency. Perhaps there is some laziness to it as well, but I won't accept that here anyway. Inferno does promise to be a great book. Also that Dan never let me down in the p
